- One OHIO Summit (MEP Fall Conference): “Customer Service – The Inside Scoop”
In a world where solutions are seemingly available at the touch of a screen there remains room for the human element. It is what sets us apart from a blue-lit rectangle and a monotone voice, allowing us the distinction only human excellence can provide. This workshop highlights the difference the human element makes, between a smooth transition to any solution v/s one that experiences challenges at every step, by diving into the bedrock of effective Customer Service & Engagement so it leads to desired results from start to finish.
This is a workshop created for those seeking employment and those in career transition. The workshop consists of classroom instruction coupled with custom-made activities drawing from real life scenarios, requiring active participation of attendees. Information covered includes, an introduction to Informational Interviews [aka Informational Meetings], their importance and practical application. At the end of the workshop, each participant is paired up with a volunteering business leader from the community to give them a chance to put into practice the skills learned at the workshop.
Uncovering the various “quirks” of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) that might perceive perfectly legitimate language and/or formatting in resumes as SPAM. Attendees were provided a list of the most commonly used “offenders” and alternative phrases were suggested that convey the same information, while still being ATS-Friendly.
